Certified Cleanroom Performance for Precise Gripping Processes

In cleanroom environments, even the smallest details can have a major impact on process stability, product quality and system availability. Especially in medical, pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing, automation components must not only operate with precision, but also prove their suitability for use under defined cleanliness conditions.

With the servo grippers CLG 30-006, IEG PLUS 40-020 and IEG PLUS 260-080, Weiss Robotics offers certified gripping solutions for demanding cleanroom applications. The models have been tested by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in accordance with ISO 14644-1 and classified according to their cleanroom suitability.

The compact CLG 30-006 meets the requirements up to ISO Class 5, making it particularly suitable for sensitive handling tasks in controlled production environments. Its precise servo technology supports repeatable gripping processes while offering easy integration into modern automation concepts.

The certified models of the IEG PLUS series further expand the range of cleanroom-compatible automation solutions. The IEG PLUS 40-020 is certified up to ISO Class 4, while the IEG PLUS 260-080 meets the requirements up to ISO Class 6. This provides machine builders and system designers with tested gripper solutions for a wide variety of component sizes, process requirements and cleanroom classes.

For technical decision-makers, the certification primarily means greater planning reliability: proven cleanroom suitability reduces validation effort, supports standards-compliant system design and provides a reliable basis for use in quality-critical manufacturing processes.
