Herma: Revolution in pharmaceutical labeling

HERMA is setting new standards in the pharmaceutical industry with the launch of the revolutionary 211 HC RC, the first robotic labeling cell for wrap-around labeling. Developed in collaboration with innovative partner Weiss Robotics and FANUC Europe, this solution offers maximum efficiency and precision for products such as vials, pens, syringes and cartridges.

The sensitive servo grippers from Weiss Robotics are at the heart of this development. They ensure fast and safe handling of pharmaceutical products. Whereas previously complex manual processes and semi-automatic machines were used, the 211 HC RC takes efficiency to a whole new level. The intuitive drawer system enables seamless product infeed without opening the safety cover - a true quantum leap in automation!

With an impressive 20 labeled products per minute, the 211 HC RC is around 25% faster than conventional machines. The robot, equipped with grippers from Weiss Robotics, places the products precisely in the labeling station with the HERMA 500, checks the labels with an image processing system and sorts fault-free products directly into trays or outer cartons. Faulty products are automatically sorted out. This increase in efficiency not only minimizes the risk of human error, but also significantly reduces the risk of product recalls, as Gary Hopkins, robotics specialist at HERMA, emphasizes.

Another major advantage is that the 211 HC RC can be programmed to automatically comply with all legal labeling standards. This not only ensures the highest product quality, but also absolute compliance.
